Nothing ever changes... Even when it does

Aberleigh-

“Who's going to take care of me if you get sick?” I watched as his beautiful bottom lip jutted out, as his liquid chocolate eyes melted any anger at myself or anyone else causing me to sigh deeply and curl into the bed next to him. I curled straight into him, not wanting him to see my guilty tears as I knew he felt simply horrible, physically.

I waited only five minutes before his whole body relaxed in sleep, before reaching up and gently feeling his forehead. Scorching! Oh goodness... I bit my lip, concerned for him, as I slowly slid out of his arms and down into the kitchen. My loathed kitchen.

A soft smile played on my lips as I ran my fingers across the dark wood of our table. Our well used table. I blushed as I remembered what had happened mere days before. Maybe Marc's right.... Maybe... My thoughts wandered to the bright side of my brain; the side filled with sun shine and rainbows. The side I saved simply for him. And thoughts of him, memories of him... Fantasies... I had to shake the thoughts physically away from me, getting more turned on by the second. What kind of girl wants to jump her ill boyfriend? Fiancée. My smile grew as I glanced at the beautiful ring resting on the third finger of my left hand.

He truly was perfect. I chuckled softly to myself as I pulled a pot out of the cupboard, pulled a large container of soup out of the freezer and emptied it into the pot, turning it on medium heat. I leaned against the counter, turning the frozen soup over in the pot every once in a while. What would compliment Emma's chicken noodle soup? I search through the fridge coming across a bottle of milk about 3 days past it's expiry date. I smiled softly to myself as I opened the carton and smelled the contents. Perfect Buttermilk.

“Soda Bread...” I smiled pulling out one of the large bowls from the corner cupboard and preheated the oven. I pulled all the needed ingredients out of the pantry and began to prepare the bread from memory, stirring the soup every few minutes. After kneading and forming the bread I slid it into the oven easily. My attention returned to the soup as I heard a chair scrape at the table. I turned towards the sound to find Marc, bundled tightly in a blanket sitting at our table. “Marc...” I sighed crossing over to him, resting my hands on his shoulders. “You should be in bed... Sleeping.” I felt his forehead. He was burning up.

“I'll be okay...” He mumbled, resting his cheek on my hand.

“Baby... You're burning up. I really need you to go back upstairs, I'll bring up some soup in about ten minutes ok?” He nodded slowly, allowing me to press a soft kiss against his forehead before raising out of his chair and slowly made his way back upstairs.

Ten minutes later I carefully carried a tray with two bowls, the loaf of soda bread, a tea pot full of tea and two cups up the stairs. I slid into our room and sat next to him, as he pulled himself up into a sitting position.

“Smells good baby... What'd you make?” He smiled weakly as I placed the tray on his laps.

“It's Emma's chicken noodle soup and soda bread. We'd always get it when we were sick.” I smiled sweetly. “Well... mine was just broth.” I shrugged. He stared at me carefully. “It's the same as yours, Marc.” I laughed showing him a heavy spoonful of soup, filled with vegetables, chicken and noodles. “Now... You need to eat.” I smiled brightly as he started to eat slowly, pausing as I took my first bite as well. Both of us took a piece of bread, Marc ate his plain, I dunked mine in the soup before eating it. He smiled softly to himself leaning back against the headboard watching me eat next to him.

“So, Aberleigh, how are you feeling today?” Dr. Ashby asked easily as I sat across from her.

“I feel good today. I'm starting... I think....” I sighed staring at my fingernails. “I think I'm starting to feel comfortable with... Where I am. How I'm feeling...” I spun my engagement ring around my finger avoiding the doctors glance.

“How is the planning going?” She asked softly nodding at my hand.

“I think... I think we need to postpone it... A year...” I sighed staring at the perfect stone in the center. “I just don't know how to tell Marc...”

“Aberleigh, you have to be honest with him. And calm...” She smiled at me in a motherly fashion. “Just explain to him that it's too much for you right now. And that you need to focus on getting better, not planning a wedding. And I'm not saying stop planning completely, but take it slowly.” I nodded, turning my glance back up to her. “Plan for next year. Just after the season. Take the summer, start there. Decide where and when, and work from there. One step at a time.” My face formed a slight smile as I let the information seep in.

“Thanks, Dr. Ashby. I think I will...” I stood from her desk slowly.

“Aberleigh... I think you're ready to leave the program.” I stared at her shocked. I was ready? Really? “I still want to see you twice a week for therapy. But I think you'll do well. We can reassess in a few weeks.” I smiled and nodded at her slowly.

“Thank you...” I breathed before leaving the building quickly.

“Marc?” I called out, entering the house cautiously. “Marc? Baby?” I turned quickly upstairs, finding his bag half-packed sitting on the bed, for his week long road trip. “Where could you be?” I mused softly to myself. I turned back to head downstairs, searching for Marc. I needed to talk to him him. Before he left...

I went into the kitchen to find... my table was gone? “Marc? What is going on?” Turning I caught a glimpse of Max, and... Sidney? “Max!” I ran down the hall after them. “Sidney. What is going on here?”

“Abbs?” Sidney turned around to meet me. “Wha.. What are you doing home? Flower said you had... well...”

“I was let out for good behaviour.” I grinned. “Where's Marc?”

“Ummm... he... uh...” Sidney shifted his weight, causing me to cross my arms gently.

“Talbo! Sid!” I heard Marc's voice from a room off the back hallway. “Guys, where did you guys go? We're not done yet!” I smiled as his frame slowly came into the hall. “Abby? What are you doing home? What happened to the program?”

“I'm done... Kind of... Marc... We... need--” He closed the gap between us stopping my words easily with his lips. “Marc...” I sighed, relaxing into his arms.

“Abby...” He grinned, running his fingers through my hair. “I have something for you.” He took my hand and pulled me with him gently into the far room. A room that now held my dinning table. “It's our new dinning room.” It was lit by a beautiful crystal chandelier. The table had a beautiful set of bone china. Jordan and Geno were crouched into the corners.

“Marc.. It's beautiful.” I breathed hugging him tightly. “Now... I'd love to thank you properly... but you have to kick your friends out first...” I grinned up at him, licking my lips at him. I stood up onto my tip toes and kissed the underside of his jaw before turning up the stairs to our room. I giggled as I heard a scuffle downstairs as the door slammed shut. I disappeared into the bathroom as I heard Marc storm up the stairs.

“Abby...” He breathed as I heard him come into our room. “Come on, Abby...” I chuckled hearing him scuffle around the room, opening closets, and looking under sheets. I slowly opened the door to the bathroom leaning against the frame dressed in a simple black corset. “Wow...” He whispered causing a blush to cross my cheeks as I started towards him slowly. I laughed softly as he pulled his shirt easily over his head and shed his jeans almost as quickly.

“I'm supposed to be thanking you...” I grinned as he ran his hands down my sides, landing just under my breasts.

“For what?” The huskiness in his voice making me almost completely forget why I was here.

“My beautiful new dining room, my ring, my life...” I whispered trailing kisses simply from his shoulder down his chest, pausing at his belly button, as he hands found my hair. I grinned as I moved lower still, hearing him choke on words that he wanted to say. I ran my fingers down his erection sitting at full attention near my cheek. His gasp egged me on as I ran my tongue from his inner thigh, over his balls, lavishing as much attention as he would let me before finally moving to his shaft. My fingers quickly followed in pursuit of my tongue before taking him completely into my mouth. I moved my eyes up to look at him, as I slowly rolled my tongue over him, his eyes closing gently as he moaned my name.

“Abby... Baby...” He groaned as I began to move my mouth over him with more speed, taking his balls gently in my right hand and teasing them. “Abby!” He cried, tugging my hair as he pulled himself out of me to empty himself over my chest. “Baby...” He whispered joining me on his knees.

“Care to help me clean up?” I grinned standing slowly, sashaying into the bathroom while undoing the corset, leaving it at the doorway as I went to turn on the shower. I barely had time to step under the jets before a pair of strong arms pushed me against the back wall, lifting me up as he stepped between my legs.

“Now it's my time to thank you.” He whispered gently biting my earlobe, and guiding himself into me.

“For what?” I gasped, holding onto him for dear life, burying my face into his neck.

“For being my life...” He grunted slamming into me again. “Abby...” He sighed as he began to pick up speed.

“Oh god... Marc... I'm almost...” I sighed as my body shook and then completely relaxed around him, causing me to smile as I felt his own end take him. “Wow...” I whispered as we slowly untangled ourselves, him placing me under the water and grabbing the shampoo to lather my hair.

“I really wish I didn't have to leave now...” He grinned, massaging the liquid into my scalp. “We could try for round two..”

“Mmm..” I sighed rinsing the shampoo out of my hair. “As much fun as that sounds. You've got to go show those Panthers that only true Northerners know how to play hockey.” He laughed as he slathered my hair with conditioner, leaning me once again under the jets.

A week and a half... I haven't seen Marc in a week in a half. Sure we spoke throughout the day, every day. But it wasn't the same. I hadn't been able to hold him, or talk to him about what needed to be talked about. Yes... I still hadn't talk to him about postponing the wedding until next year. I never had the chance! By the time we were finally done in the shower he needed to leave for the airport on his road trip. Now... Now he was finally home. Well... back in Pittsburgh, I still hadn't seen him yet. I sighed deeply as Danielle and I made our way down towards the dressing room. The game hadn't been good. The boys loosing 5-2 against Philadelphia. Marc was not going to be in a good mood...

“Abbs... It'll be ok... We'll just take them home and make them forget about the loss.” She grinned as we paused at the lounge door. I nodded slowly taking a step towards the lounge as my stomach flipped, the intermittent nausea I had been feeling for the past two days returning full force. Dani glanced at me, concern posted on her face. “Abbs...?” She called after me as I ran into the washroom, barely making it to the toilet before throwing up.

Five minutes later I rested my cheek against the cool tiles of the wall, trying to calm my stomach down enough to stand and find Marc. But it seemed I didn't have to... The door swung open harshly and Marc ran through, his eyes filled with fear and concern.

“Baby...” he whispered, as I smiled weakly up at him. “Are you ok?” He slid onto the ground next to me. This floor was disgusting. He was getting his suit dirty! “Is it the flu?” I gently shook my head as he placed his hand on my forehead and then my cheeks. “Your not warm.” His sigh grew heavy as he glanced at the floor. “You were doing so good, Abby.”

“This wasn't my choice, Marc. It's involuntary I swear.” I took his hand, causing him to look up at me. “It's not just today either. Nothing's staying down. I don't feel sick... Not all day anyways. Just-”

“Abby, please... don't lie to me.” He growled pulling himself up. “I think... I think you should go to Braeden's tonight... I just... I can't Abby... Not again.”

“Marc!” I cried, trying to quickly scramble to my feet and not get sick as he stormed out of the small room. “Marc.. It's not what you think!” I started down the hallway after him as a pair of strong arms caught me.

“Abbs... It's best if you just leave him right now... Flower's... Well... His head's not right tonight. Let him sleep it off... He'll call.” Sid's voice sighed as he rubbed my back gently. “Why don't we get you to Braeden's place... I'm sure Flower'll call you tomorrow...” I nodded against him, feeling too numb to even cry over it all.

The next day, I sat curled up in my old arm chair, in my old library sipping the ginger tea that Braeden had made for me to keep my stomach calm.

“Have you tried-” Braeden started, stopping just as quickly as he saw the tears streaming down my face. “Abby...” He sighed sitting next to me, placing a plate of soft bread and fruit on the table next to us.

“He won't answer... And when he does... He just tells me to stop calling...” I sobbed curling myself into a tighter ball.

“Abby... Just... I'll be right back...” Braeden's voice took on a hard edge as he rose from the chair. “Try and eat something... It might help.” I nodded as he stomped just outside of the room, still in hearing distance. “Don't you fucking dare hang up the phone Frenchie!” He yelled at Marc... I assumed. “Fuck you, man! I've been watching her all day!... She fucking has eaten!... Not yet... No... Actually she looks exhausted.” I yawned softly, my eyes closing against my will. “Well, if you can't help her Marc-Andre... Then stay away from her. I'll help her.... Yah well Fuck you, Man. Not even staying with your fiancée while she's sick. Nice.” I sighed, tears caressing my cheeks as I let sleep take over.

Until She Is

Fiancée… it had been almost a week since I proposed to Abby; but every time I thought about it, I got more excited. Fiancée; it’s such a simple word, but one that means so much. I sighed softly as the sun streamed through the windows; lovingly caressing Abby as she curled next to me - fast asleep. I smiled down at her, unable to keep the grin off my face; not only was she beautiful - now she was healthy too.
It was amazing the difference that two weeks could make. Not only in appearance, but personality too. Of course she had her random blow outs; when she was disgusted with her self, and angry at me because of it. Regardless of what she said, she was glowing, curvy, energetic, and mostly happy; all of those things were worth any backlash that might occur.

“Morning…” Abby whispered softly, pushing her face into my neck. “You’re up early.”

“So are you…” I smiled, wrapping my arms around her. She sighed as her hand ran down her stomach; a grimace spreading across her face. “What is it baby?”

“I’m disgusting Marc… how can you still touch me?” She rolled over away from me, as tears started to fall down her face. I sighed quietly, starting early today…

I shook my head at the thought. She needs me to be understanding, not selfish. “Abby baby, you’re beautiful…” I started to kiss her naked back, letting my tongue trace along her spine before she swatted me away.
I groaned quietly as she rolled out of bed, wrapping herself in the blanket before storming into the bathroom. “Abby… Abby!” I called a few times, getting no answer.
Giving up I pulled on a pair of sweatpants and headed downstairs. She can hide in the bathroom all she wants but; that’s not gonna stop me from making as much food as I can before she comes down.

I had an insanely large amount of crepes and cream cooked, by the time Abby came down the stairs. She groaned softly as she came up behind me, sniffing the air as her stomach grumbled in unison. I laughed softly as I turned around, giving her a grin before I kissed her on the forehead. “Hungry?”

“No.”

“Abby…” I said slowly, tilting her face up towards mine. “You know you need to eat.” She sighed and walked away from me, plopping down at the kitchen table.

“I hate this stupid kitchen. Who needs a kitchen anyway?” She spat, causing me to sigh as I walked over. I came up behind her, resting my hands on her shoulders.

“Abby there’s nothing wrong with the kitchen. Just have some breakfast and we’ll go do something fun… ok?”

“No, not ok… I don’t want to be in here!” She shoved herself away from the table, heading towards the living room, grumbling to herself.

I took off after her, grabbing her arms and swinging her around. “Abby…” I sighed, pulling her back into the kitchen. “The kitchen is great! Look… look at how much fun it is in here!” I exclaimed, trying to think of something fun about the kitchen. “Look… there’s… plants and a telephone book… wine… fridge magnets…”

She sighed as she allowed me to move her back to the table. I lifted her up until she was sitting on the wood surface, her legs opened enough for me to stand in between him. “Come on fiancée, for me…?” I gave her my best puppy dog eyes causing her to finally crack a smile.

“You’re impossible you know that.” She looked around the room as her arms moved down around her stomach. I knew that she was trying; but it was just so hard for me to understand what was going through her mind.
She was beautiful - breathtakingly so - to the point where I had a hard time focusing on something else when she was around. She was perfect, for lack of a better word; everything about her made me smile. I loved her sense of humour, her independence, her smile, her laugh, her entire personality… her curves, her skin, her… just perfect!
I groaned slightly as I looked downward. Here I was trying to think of how I could help Abby and I get a hard-on.

“I think it’s because of my mother…” Abby said softly, drawing my attention back up to her. “With everything that’s going on… all the group sessions and stuff… it’s back in my mind, more clear than ever. She use to keep me out the kitchen and, being back in one just… brings back bad memories.”

I wanted to tell her that that part of her life was over, that her mother was dumb and wrong, that I would never let anyone hurt her ever again; but I didn’t know how. Instead I grabbed her face in my hands and kissed her, kissed her for everything I was worth.
Her arms rested easily around my neck as her legs wound around my waist, pulling me against her.

Normally I could control myself, and I had been controlling myself; trying not to push Abby too much. The doctor had said that sex would be difficult for her, that any kind of intimacy would be difficult as she fought an inner battle with herself over her body image.
I had tried my best to remember that since the start of the program, but the words were extremely hard to recall at the present time.
Abby kissed me back forcefully and I grabbed at the bottom of her tang top, pulling it upwards; breaking the kiss just long enough to throw it away.

As soon as I saw her exposed skin, I brought my hands down to her breasts; my fingers tugging at her nipples - I felt them harden under my touch.
I gently pushed her down onto the table; grabbing her PJ bottoms and tugging them off. I discarded her cotton briefs before pulling down my sweatpants; stepping back in between her legs once I was free of them.

Before I could stop to check and make sure she was ok with this; Abby grabbed onto me, guiding my erection inside of her.
I took hold of her hips, gently tipping her towards me as she arched her body off the table. I began pushing into her with brute force; both of us climaxing quickly after a week of pent-up sexual desires .

I groaned as I felt myself slip out of her; using all my strength to hold my body off of her as she rested on the table.

“You know what?” She said quietly as I finally relaxed my arms, letting the side of my face rest against her stomach.

“What’s that?” I mumbled, contented to just feel her soft skin against my face.

“I’m thinking kitchen’s aren’t that bad after all…”

“Strippers, strippers… and more strippers!!” Max yelled excitedly as her bounded through the front door.

“No!” Kris and I yelled in unison, causing Max to stop in his tracks, shooting us both death glares.

He turned to face us, his arms crossing over his chest. “It’s not a bachelor party if there aren’t any naked women.” He stated matter-o-factly, earning a grunt of approval from Geno.
I glanced over at the far couch; Sid and the Russian were both sipping beer and watching TSN. “Kris invited me over here to help with your bachelor party!” Max said as he flopped down next to me, receiving a groan from Kris.

“I did not! You called me and asked what I was doing… then you invited yourself over.” Kris said back, shaking his head as he spoke.

“Yah, and it’s a good thing too! What were you ladies planning… a tea party? Maybe a nice knitting circle? Tits of GTFO!” I sighed audibly as Max threw a magazine in my lap. “Exotic themed parties… you can thank me later.”

I groaned as I lifted it up, wondering why in the world he ever thought I would agree to this. “No Max. No women, no strippers. We’re hanging out here, having a few beers… playing pool… just the guys.”

“Just the guys… and naked pirates…” Max grabbed at the magazine flipping it open to marked page. “I already booked it so… get excited!”

“There’s something about a naked girl with an eye-patch that’s really creeping me out…” Kris said softly as he grimaced down at the booklet. I flipped it shut before tossing it onto the coffee table.

“No Max.”

“Too late, it‘s already on man. Where’s Abby?” He asked suddenly, turning his direction towards the kitchen.

“No!” This time it wasn’t only Kris and I who shouted. Geno and Sidney had joined in on the warning too.

“Do NOT go in there…” Sid said, authority ringing in his voice.

Kris was pale as he turned towards Max, leaning over me to see him clearly. “They. Will. Kill. You.” He stated, emphasising each word.

As expected, Max didn’t heed the warning; jumping over the couch and dashing into the kitchen. I groaned as I got off the couch slowly, following Max into the kitchen.
Abby and Dani had the entire kitchen table covered in layers of fabric, patterns, pictures and magazines; both of them hunched over comparing notes as they riffled through the clutter. “What’s this?” Max asked, grabbing at a piece of silk.

“Don’t TOUCH THAT!” Dani screamed, slapping Max’s hand and grabbing the silk away from him. “You’ll ruin everything!”

Max raised his eyebrows at me, taking a step away from the girls. “Let me introduce you to bridezilla, and the maid of honor-osaurs.” I chuckled, earning looks of disapproval from both women. “Love you…” I added, before grabbing onto Max and pulling him back out of the kitchen.

“Man, what is up with that?” Max asked once we were out of ear-range.

“That was ‘women planning a wedding‘… trust me, they aren’t that bad today but… you really don’t want to mess with them…” He nodded in agreement as he plopped back down onto the couch; grabbing the party magazine and opening it back onto the pirate the page, grinning like an idiot.

I was lying in bed when Abby got home that night. The guys had all left early to go out for supper, then the clubs; but I was to sick for that. I was too sick to move.
It had hit me quick, but hard; one minute I was fine, the next I was puking my guts up. The news reporter had said that there was a flu epidemic going on, and judging by the symptoms; that’s exactly what I had.
I groaned as I rolled onto my back; every part of my body screaming out in pain.

I grabbed for my bedside bucket just as Abby pushed the door open. I emptied my stomach into the container before looking up at her. Her face was flushed and her eyes were red and swollen. “What’s wrong?” We both asked at the same time.

“You first.” I nodded as she started to pace around the room.

“Marc, we can’t get married.” She said suddenly, causing my breath to catch in my throat. Before I could think of anything to say, she continued talking. “I’m too fat to get married. I think… maybe… if I just loose a few pounds-”

“Abby you’re not fat, you’re beautiful. No loosing weight. What brought this about anyway? You were doing so well…”

“I went with Dani to try on dresses…” She started to sob gently, sitting down at the end of the bed. “Marc, I’m a cow…”

“Abby… baby…” I sighed, wanting nothing more than to take her in my arms, but deciding against it as I felt my stomach do another flip-flop. “You’re not… remember what the doctor said-”

“I don’t need a doctor to know I’m fat!” I shook my head as I looked at her. She looked stunning, swollen eyes and all. “What’s wrong with you?”

“Flu.” I answered simply, not wanting to shift the subject to myself. “Abby… please believe me. You’re perfect the way you are… and I need you healthy. Who’s gonna take care of my if you get sick?” I pouted, giving her my most pitiful look.

She sighed audibly as she crawled into bed next to me. I knew that this conversation wasn’t even close to over, but; I didn’t have the energy to fight, and she seemed complacent, for now.

More than anything I wanted Abby to be healthy; the doctor thought that the wedding might be a bad idea, too much stress on her during her time in treatment. I thought that was foolish, but looking at her now, there might be some truth behind that.
I wanted to marry Abby, make her my wife; have babies with her, grow old with her. All that could wait though, if Abby didn’t start getting better; I'm gonna have to call off the wedding until she is...

He Never Said He Was Romeo

I shifted the weight of the bag in my arms as I opened the door and found Marc sitting on the stairs, staring off into nothingness. He'd been doing that since we got back from Sorel. Honestly... It was starting to scare me a little bit.

“Hey babe!” I smiled easily as I crossed the room and kissed him gently before heading into the kitchen to put away the groceries. I heard him sit at the table as I stretched uncomfortably to put away a box of pasta on the top shelf, almost out of reach. I heard him sigh deeply before finally speaking.

“Abby... can you come here?” I stopped right where I was, mid-stretch with a loaf of bread in my hands. The further out of my reach this was, the better off I was. I set the loaf of bread on the counter before slowly turning to Marc.

“Ummm... sure...” I furrowed my brow softly at the seriousness in his voice as I sat gently in the chair next to him. What was going on?

“I need to ask you something Abby, and I need an honest answer.” My breath caught in my throat as I watched him carefully.

“Does this have something to do with your conversation with Vero at the wedding?” I whispered, not trusting my own voice. He nodded slowly. Oh god... I knew it! He's going to end things... I wasn't good enough for him. I bit my lip gently as he moved his chair closer to me, tears stinging my eyes. I opened my mouth to say something, anything to convince him against what he was thinking. My mouth closed as soon as it opened as my brain searched for the right words. I'm sorry... I didn't mean to? What ever it is... We can fix this. Please don't leave me... I love you. I stared at our hands as he took mine firmly in his, squeezing them so I turned my gaze to his intense one.

“Abby....” He sighed, taking a quick glance at his hands, trying to collect his thoughts before turning back to me, my breath still caught in my throat. “You know I love you more than anything I've ever known. More than life...” He sighed. “I didn't think this would be so hard...” He muttered under his breath so quietly I barely caught it. “Abby... I need you, always. I love you so much. Which just makes this harder. Abby, you have a problem...” My breath released in a hiss as I pulled my hands out of his.

“Pardon me? What are you talking about Marc?” I stood from my chair and took several steps back, not wanting to be near him anymore.

“Abby, I think you have an eating disorder.” I physically recoiled from him as the words left his mouth.

“What? I don't have an eat disorder, Marc. I'm fine.” I reasoned, walking around the kitchen island to leave. He met me at the mouth of the hallway easily, resting his hands gently on my shoulders as I looked away from him.

“Aberleigh... Look at yourself... You're wasting away. I love you far too much to loose you like this. Baby...” He sighed, causing me to slowly look up and his stress drawn face. Oh god... I'm doing this to him. “Please... For me?” My tears over took me as he pulled me into a tight embrace. Did I really have a problem? I knew I looked horrible. My hair was stringy... my skin was like tissue paper...

“Okay...” I whispered into his chest.

“What?” He demanded pulling me away from him. “Did you? I mean... Really?” He smiled softly as I nodded slowly, staring at our feet, not having the ability to look at him. “I found a really good place... Here in Pittsburgh, and you can still stay home... And they have a program for me and Braeden too...” My eyes shot up to his, widening in hurt, anger, and shock.

“You told Braeden?” I cried, pushing him away from me before crossing to the kitchen.

“Of course I did... Abby... You're going to need all the help you can get. I don't want you to be alone through this...” He gestured helplessly at the kitchen.

“This... This is too much, Marc... I need... I need to think. I need... What about...? And... It's just... It's too much.” I shook my head backing up into the counter.

“Aberleigh…” He sighed stepping towards me as I stepped back, holding my hands up to keep him away. “He’s your family.”

“He didn’t need to know, Marc.” I shook my head as my back bumped against the counter. “Who else knows?” I whispered as I let him pull me into his chest.

“Vero…” He sighed as my gaze flipped up to him. “She told me… Well, she made me realize. I think Max is suspicious, but he doesn’t know what.”

“Where is this place?” I sighed against him. This was the last thing I ever wanted to do.

“It’s here in Pittsburgh. You go every day for just over 6 hours, and then come home, Monday to Friday.” I smiled softly as he kissed the top of my head. “I was thinking… You could stay at Braeden’s when I’m gone on the road.” I nodded as my tears slowly started to soak his shirt.

“When do I start?” I croaked, tightening my grip on his waist, like if I held on to him the world would just go away and everything would be fine.

“Tomorrow…” He whispered into my hair. “Braeden’s going to come with us… The Doc wants to meet everyone involved… Abby, you’ll like her. She’s a really sweet woman…” I sighed sadly, not at all ready for what was to come.

I sat in the backseat of Braeden’s car, staring out at the opposing building in front of us, not moving. Braeden sat in the front seat sighing dramatically. Marc… Marc sat next to me, squeezing my knee gently in reassurance.

“I’m not ready…” I whispered, talking to no one in particular, just the air, the building maybe…

“Yes, you are, Abby.” Marc whispered too me as Braeden got out of the car and began to pace its length.

“What about work? I have a huge meeting with a new client in two days!” I exclaimed. “I can’t miss that.”

“Yes you can… Your team will handle it.” He smiled at me taking hold of my hands that were shaking nervously. “Aberleigh, you can do this. You have the strength and the ability to do this…” He paused, causing me to look up at him and see the struggle in his face. “I need you to do this. I need you to come home to me, Abby.” I took a shaky breath and nodded. I could do this… for him. He opened the door and stepped out, waiting for me to follow. I sighed deeply as my mind raced. Was I weak? Why couldn't I do this on my own? Would he wait? Would he still love me when I was fat? I shook my head trying to push away the negative thoughts as I slid out of the car, took Marc's hand and walked into the building with Marc on one side, and Braeden, the other.

“We have an appointment with Dr. Ashby.” Marc informed the harsh looking woman behind the desk.

“Name.” She barked turning to me as I curled up closer to Marc. I am not staying here!

“Aberleigh Michaels.” He provided ignoring my glare. Traitor. The woman turned to her computer and typed for a few moments before turning back to us.

“Third door on the left.” She nodded before going back to her work. Braeden and Marc nodded before heading in the direction the woman had indicated.

“Marc...” I whispered as we stopped in front of the door. “Please don't make me come here.” I held onto his arm tightly. “I'll do better. Marc, please... This place is freaking me out.”

“Aberleigh,” The harshness in my brother's voice caused me to turn towards him. “Grow the fuck up. This isn't just about you. Get in the room.” He pulled the door open and held it there for me.

“Braeden...” Marc sighed before turning my face gently towards him. “Baby, I know this place is intimidating. It's only for a couple of weeks. Just meet some of the staff. Meet Dr. Ashby.” I bit my lip nervously before nodding, and allowing Marc to pull me into the office.

The office was warm and bright. Books covered the walls from floor to ceiling. I slowly turned to the comfortable looking desk at the end of the room and the small friendly looking woman sitting behind it.

“You must be Abby...” She smiled rising from her chair and circling the desk to shake my hand.

“It's Aberleigh.” I corrected as I shook her hand. You couldn't be just anyone and call me Abby.

“My apologies.” She smiled motioning towards a set of three chairs in front of her desk. I sat in the middle chair flanked by the two most important men in my life, as she moved back to her own chair. Braeden, to my right, stared into space, anger set on his face. Marc took my hand in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze as the doctor started. She ran through everything.

How tall was I... 5'3”

How much did I weigh... This morning? 92 lbs.

What did I eat yesterday... A banana, 2 pieces of celery and a small bowl of pasta.

How often did I exercise... Daily from 3-4 hours

How do I exercise... Gym, running, aerobics, pilates.

When did this start? I stopped and closed my mouth, staring at her.

“13...” Braeden whispered next to me. “She was 13.” My head whipped around to stare at him. “That's when she started to 'eat' in the kitchen with Lucy, our maid.”

“How did you know that?” I asked him softly. I didn't even know that...

“I watched what happened, Abby. Mum started about your weight when I was 11, you were 12. You gave up at 13.”

“Your mum sounds like a hard person to live with.” Dr. Ashby nodding making notes in the file in front of her.

“Our parents are quirky...” I shrugged causing Braeden to laugh shortly.

“Yah they openly display their favourtisms.” I nodded causing the doctor to look confused.

“According to Mum, Braeden is the second coming of the Messiah. Perfect in every way.” I grinned batting my eyes at Braeden.

“And Dad's openly said that Abby's 'the son he never had'.” He held up his hand to stop Dr. Ashby. “I know.... I am his son. Just not in his eyes.”

“Well, I think that's something that we'll have to bring up in group again. Now, how about we take you for a tour and show you, Aberleigh where you'll be during the day.”I turned to glance at Marc as he nodded slowly.

Two weeks later I stormed into the house slamming the door shut behind me. Marc peaked his head around the corner from the kitchen.

“Abby... What's wrong?” He asked drying his hands on a towel, stepping into the living room.

“I can't handle this anymore!” I screamed throwing my bag onto the couch.

“Can't handle what, baby?” He walked slowly toward me, stopping right in front of me and rubbing on the top of my arms.

“This! Being a prisoner in my own life!” I groaned against him. “I can't leave my house with out someone with me. I'm babysat all day. Forced to eat crazy foods that are making me fat! Fat, Marc! Look at me! I'm huge now!” I exclaimed, my eyes stinging with tears. 20 pounds in two weeks. He sighed, pushing me away from him slightly as he looked me over.

“I don't see an ounce of fat. Just my, Abby.” I blushed softly as he led me over to the couch. “Abby...” He smiled gently as he took my hands in his. “I need you to keep going... If you get any smaller... you won't be able to fit this...” I glanced down at his hands to find a beautiful platinum solitaire diamond ring.

“Oh Marc...” I gushed softly as he moved the ring towards my left hand.

“Abby... Will you... Marry me?” I nodded slowly as he slid the ring over it's newly appointed home. Grinning sheepishly as it got stuck on my knuckle. “It's stuck...”

“See, Marc.. A week ago, this wouldn't have happened.” I sighed, as I pulled the ring off, studying it closely. “An inscription?” I smiled softly, reading the small letters on the inside of the ring. “Love conquers all... Oh Marc. I love it!” I squealed hugging him tightly.

“We'll get it resized, Abby.” He smiled as I showered his face with kisses.

“I know...” I sighed through my kisses, finally landing on his mouth. He groaned into the kiss as he leaned me back against the couch. “Marc...” I groaned as he moved to my neck.

“Let's go to bed...” He whispered into ear, kissing the lobe gently. “Fiancée...”

The Hardest Question

I expected this to be a lot worse, a lot harder. I expected pain, sadness, confusion and anger; but there was none. I watched Vero glide past Abby and I in a white backless gown; arm and arm with her father.
How many times? I wondered to myself as she moved further down the aisle, how many times did I imagine this day? Imagine the day that I would make her my wife; take her home, rock our babies on the same porch that we shared our first kiss on. It was intangible, something that I had spent running over in my head, an uncountable amount of times; but it didn’t matter anymore.
My only regret for this day, was the man at the front of the room; and surprisingly enough, it wasn’t that it was someone other than me. I was past that, ready to move on; but my mind kept wandering over the possibilities that this union had in store for Vero.
I didn’t want her to hurt, and I knew Pierre would hurt her again… she’s an adult, I can’t force her out of anything, I thought sadly as everyone sat back down.

The wedding was beautiful; even if it was a bit large and over the top. There were people that had flown in from all over, something I wasn’t sure I would do at my own wedding, my own wedding… I thought with a smile as I looked over at Abby.
I, unfortunately, wasn’t the only one stealing glances at her. Apparently everyone who was here - even if I had never seen them before - had an idea on who I was. I was sure everyone in this room had turned to look at Abby and I at least once since we arrived.
At the thought I pulled Abby closer to me as my arm wrapped around her shoulder. I planted a kiss on the side of her head as I continued to smile down at her- she looked so beautiful. I could smell the sweet vanilla scent flowing off of her as I began to twirl a piece of her hair around my finger.

"If anyone knows any reason why these two should not be married today; speak now, or forever hold your peace." The words rang out around the church and I stiffed slightly as I felt all the eyes in the room turn towards me.
Aberleigh noticed to, and she timidly turned to me, pain on her face.
She seemed surprised and pleased when she found me still smiling down at her; still twisting her hair around my finger.

I knew everyone was watching for a reaction. A part of me, had alot to say. Manily; what the hell Vero?! You deserve better than this… he’s no good for you… this is only going to end badly so please, please, please stop this.
Another part of me, was sighing at the finality of the words spoken out loud. I would never marry Vero and here I was watching my childhood dreams play out in front of me; a faceless stranger in my place.
But another part, the very best part of me, continued to stare at the beautiful woman next to me.

As if to prove to the world that I was committed; I leaned over and kissed Abby's hair again, resting my cheek on the top of her head as I finally turned my eyes back to the bride at the front.

“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife; you may now kiss the bride…” The words rang out over the church and were instantly drowned out by cheers and whistles and Pierre went to kiss Vero; something I didn’t have the time to see.
As the man announced the ending of the wedding I tipped Abby’s face up to mine, kissing her passionately; like it was our own private ceremony.

I spun Abby around the dance floor lightly as Amanda Marshall chimed out over the speakers of the Sorel town hall. I pulled her against me, wrapping my arms tightly around her waist as I whispered the words in her ear, changing some the lyrics to my liking;

“So let’s make a toast,
and drink up the wine;
here’s to you lying here next to me,
until the end of time.
Wherever you are,
I want to be,
and anything that means anything to ya,
means everything to me…
so baby if you‘re free,
marry me…”

Abby hugged her arms around my neck tighter, bending me down over her small frame; kissing me gently on the lips. “Abby…” I sighed softly as she pulled away slightly.

“What’s up Casanova?” She grinned as her body sway delicately against mine.

“Do you want to get married?” Her eyes widened in shock as she stared up at me, frightened. “I mean… not now… obviously not right now, but in your future… do you see yourself getting married?”

She looked away and nodded as her eyes roamed around the room. “Yes… I do.” She looked back up at me and gave me a weak smile. “Nothing like this though, small ceremony, small church, just family and friends… you know?” She blushed slightly, like it was embarrassing to want such a small wedding after going through this circus.

“Sounds perfect.” I smiled at her, giving her my honest opinion. “You gonna invite me?” She crinkled her noise and shook her head; squealing as I grabbed onto her sides tickling her.

“Mind if I cut in?” I halted my attack on Abby as I heard Vero come up behind me.

Before I could say anything my dad appeared at me elbow, “Sure… take him! I’ve been trying to dance with this lovely lady all night, but he won’t let her go.” My dad laughed as he grabbed Abby and swung her in a wide circle. I couldn’t help but laugh at the look of sheer terror on her face as Vero fitted herself into my arms.

“We probably should have warned her what a horrible dancer he is…” She giggled quietly as my dad spun Abby around the room.

“I think she knows…” I laughed, smiling down at Vero. She was glowing; looking beautiful and perfect as we began to spin slowly. “He won’t get mad will he…?” I looked up, searching for Pierre through the crowd.

Vero grabbed onto my face with a manicured hand and turned my attention back down to her. “It’s my wedding… I can dance with whomever I want… especially my oldest friend.” I grinned down at her; hoping for her sake that she was right. “So, how are things going with Abby? You seem happy.”

“I am…” I couldn’t help but grin like an idiot as the truth of my answer spread through my body. I was happy, I was the definition of happy.

“That makes this harder then…” I stared down at Vero, what harder? “I need to talk to you about Abby.” I started to shake my head, pulling away from her; whatever game she was starting, I wasn’t playing. “She hardly eats, she exercise an absurd amount. On the days when she does eat, she disappears to the bathroom right after; sometimes she’s so weak she can hardly stand…”

Her words had me freezing in place. “How do you…” I slurred out, panic filling my body. Vero grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door.

Outside in the empty parking lot, Vero spun around on me. “Abby has an eating disorder Marc… she needs help.”

“No…” Oh god…

“Marc think about it… I can tell. She was always small but she’s almost skin and bones now…”

“No…” She’s right.

“Marc look at me.” Vero grabbed onto me, shaking me slightly, tears starting to fall down her face. “You need to get her help… you need to take her to a facility where they can treat her…”

“No!” I spat, pulling my arms away from her. “I can’t… I won’t… she doesn’t… she’s fine!” She had to be fine. Abby was my rock, my safe place, my life; she couldn’t be sick.

“Marc. She could die from this…” I shook my head, allowing Vero to pull me into a hug.

I sobbed gently on her shoulder. “Vero… I need her. She can’t go… I can’t let her… I want to marry her, I need her…”

“I know Marc, I know…” She shushed me gently as she swayed from side to side, trying to sooth the pain that was rocking through my body.

I took a deep breath, taking a step back and wiping the tears off my face. “I’m an idiot… how did I not know-” I sighed deeply, running my hands through my hair. “I don’t know what to do…”

“Hey… there you are!” I took a deep breath as I turned around to face Abby.

I gave her a smile, pulling her against me so she couldn’t see my face. “Hey baby…” I kissed the top of her head; watching Pierre appear in the door, staring at me.

“I’ll see you guys after…” Vero said slowly, walking past us to her new husband, who was still staring at me.

“I love you so much.” I said quietly as I hugged Abby as hard as I could. “I love you so much… please don’t ever leave.” She looked up at me, confused as I brought my lips down to her; feeling my body ignite as she kissed me back.

She was covered in sweat; lying naked on her back, in the hotel bed. I rested on top of her, my chin sitting gently on her stomach. “Are you going to come back up here?” She asked breathlessly as she gently tugged on my shoulders, trying to pull me up to her. I shook my head, my lips moving down to kiss her soft skin as my hands traced up her side.
Maybe it was the fact I had truly realized that Abby had a problem that made me noticed; or maybe I had always noticed but never actually realized what it meant - but Abby’s ribs were protruding out of her skin.
I tried to hide the sadness in my eyes as I pulled myself up on my hands, staring down at the woman that I loved.

She was thinner, definitely thinner; her skin was still soft, but less supple - her breasts weren’t as full. I looked up at her face, realizing that the weight was waning from there too. Her cheeks were starting to look hallow, her hair lacked the fullness and shine it had always had before. Before… she wasn’t always like this. This happened after she met me… this is my fault.

“Marc…” She sighed, arching her back towards me, drawing me out of my thoughts. I looked back down at her beautiful face; guilt forcing to tear me apart as her mouth curled down into a pout.
I licked my lips before bringing them back down to cover her frown, pushing myself inside her and trying to ignore the revelations of the day; at least for one more night.

“Stupid Sidney and his stupid Olympics!” I whined as I followed Max through the throng of people. “I should have waited till he got back…”

“Why?! If anyone knows women it’s me… not the kid!” Max snapped back as he came to a halt outside a store. “Alright, this looks good. Remember, bigger is better…” He laughed loudly. “Of course you already know that… that’s why all the women come to me!”

“You’re disgusting.” I shook my head as I followed Max into the jewellers. I wished more than anything that Sidney was here; not just for the shopping… but the talks to. I had told Max my idea, that I was going to ask Abby to marry me; but I hadn’t told him about Vero’s confession. I wasn’t sure why. He was my team-mate and I knew I could trust him with something personal like that, but it just felt wrong; like telling Max would somehow make it more real…

This might be the hardest question, I decided solemnly. I clutched the ring in my hand as I sat on the bottom of the stairs; my head snapping up as I heard the doorknob turn. Abby came in a second later, a sake of groceries clutched under her arm. “Hey babe!” She smiled lightly as she took a few steps towards me, kissing me before heading into the kitchen.
I followed in after her, trying to control my breathing. I wasn’t sure what to do… I wasn’t even sure what I wanted anymore.

I grimaced as I watched her beginning to put the groceries away; her arms looked so brittle as she reached up for the top shelf. “Abby… can you come here.”

She turned around and looked at me, apprehension crossing her face. “Umm…sure…” She turned around and headed towards the kitchen table, plopping her small frame into a chair.

“I need to ask you something Abby, and I need an honest answer.” She tilted her head to the side as she watched me.

“Does this have something to do with your conversation with Vero at the wedding?” She asked quietly, never taking her eyes from me. I nodded slowly as her eyes began to fill with tears.

Paris Holds the Key to Her Heart

Aberleigh-

I sighed happily as I rested my head on Marc's shoulder. I was still amazed at what had happened in the past month. From the fight... to Vero's engagement, which I still didn't know how to feel about... to Marc's new found insane concern for me, and what I'm eating. Now here we were, in the middle of February, jetting off to Europe.

I felt a strange mixture of sadness and relief for us. Sadness in the fact that we were leaving teammates and friends, really our family, as many dashed off to Vancouver to fight for their country in the best war ever and the only one I'd ever support, the Olympics. I knew it was bugging Marc that he wasn't able to go, play with his friends and idols. But, this year wasn't his time. There'd be other Olympics, and I'd be there when he did get to go. Relief... Relief in the fact that we were finally able to take some time for us. To be together. To be... out of the spotlight of family and friends. To be alone... for once. Relief over the fact that we were finally sitting on cushy couches in Pittsburgh International Airport waiting for our flight to Paris to be called.
I glanced up at him as I felt him kiss the top of my head.

“We need to get you a different cap, baby.” I laughed pulling on the bill of his Penguins ball cap. “People expect you to be in a Pens one. How about a Yankees one?”

“Shh... Don't say that too loud, we'll be surrounded by women trying to steal me away shortly.” He grinned looking around the lounge. I chuckled softly, pulling myself up to steal his lips in a sweet kiss.

“'Scuse me,” a small voice broke through my mind fog, pulling me away from Marc to show a young girl about 7 or 8 standing in front of us, clutching a notebook in her hands. “Can I have your autographs Mr. Fleury?” I gushed at the sweetness the small child exuded as I tried not to laugh at Marc's earlier comment.

“Sure.” Marc flashed her his full watt smile, causing me to swoon, as he took her notebook and pen gently from her.

“What's your name, sweetheart?” I asked gently, tearing her attention away from Marc as he scribbled a note to her.

“Cindy Anabelle Glashan.” She smiled brightly, showing off her toothless grin. “Are you and Mr. Fleury married?” I shut my mouth quickly before turning to Marc, finding him staring back at me. We both laughed at the comment with an edge of nervousness in our voices.

“No Cindy... not yet.” Marc recovered first, winking at the young girl as he returned the notebook and pen. My heart jumped into my throat as young Cindy skipped back to her parents, her prized autographs clutching in her hand. Not yet? Was he going to propose in France? Oh God... Could I handle that?

“Women flocking, hmmm?” I grinned up at him, trying to push thoughts of engagement out of my head. He groaned softly pulling his hat lower over his eyes.

“I'm never going to live that down am I?” I shook my head, causing him to groan even louder.

“At least Max isn't here...” I shrugged, pulling myself off the couch and offering my hand as our flight was called.

“Abby, please just eat a little bit more...?” Marc pleaded with me as I pushed the food in front of me around.

“Marc, I'm not hungry, I wasn't hungry when you ordered this for me. And more importantly I'm not a child!” I sighed exasperated at him, setting my fork down gently. “Stop treating me like one.” He sighed softly sitting back in his chair, allowing me to curl up into him and breathe in his beautiful scent. Like soap and woods all at the same time. Heaven. “This week is about us, remember? No fighting, no yelling. Just us and France.” I felt him nod against me before kissing the top of my head and tightening his grip on me as my eyes drifted shut.

I laughed wildly as Marc pulled my hand gently, like a child wanting to show you the next big thing, running down Voie Georges Pompidou.

“Come on, Abby! The Arc de Triomphe is over here!” He turned around briefly to make sure I wasn't dying behind him.

“Marc, slow down!” I called after him. “I don't exercise for a living!” I laughed as he slowed to a brisk walk from a dead run. “We'll go to the Arc, and the Louvre. And Notre Dame, and I want to go to Versaille. We'll get there. Calm down.” He stopped completely, causing me to run into his back as he spun around, trapping me in his arms. “Marc-Andre --” My protest died off quickly as he stopped any words with a kiss. I clutched his sweater in one hand, allowing my other to reach up and play with the curls at his neck. I squealed into the kiss as he deepened it, leaning me backwards lightly. I took a deep breath as soon as he straightened us out and let me go. “What was that?” I blushed as a few people walked by clapping softly. Oh my god... I blushed deeply staring at the cobblestones below us.

“Sorry... I always wanted to kiss a beautiful woman outside the Arc.” He smiled down at me, taking my hand, tightly in his, before crossing the street to the imposing monument.

“This is it?” I glanced around, reading all the plaques in the square. “It sounds so much bigger... So much more.... magnificent.” Marc turned to face me, sporting a shocked expression. “What? It's a war monument! I'm not a fan of war. I get that people died and it was sad... but do we need a rock to prove it?”

“We'll go to Louvre ok?” He smiled, shaking his head, as he wrapped his arm around my waist, leading me off. “But first, you need a baret!” I giggled as he plopped a black flat hat on my head. “There. Now you look French.” We chuckled together as we ran across the street to the entrance of one of the most famous museums of the world.

“Oh... Look, Wedding Feast at Cana...” I gushed pulling him towards Paolo Caliari's painting. Marc tipped his head to the side studying the painting at great lengths.

“It's just a group of people standing around. Where's the food?” He peered at the painting closely. I rolled eyes.

“Maybe we should just go to dinner...” I suggested, not wanting to get into the heart of the Louvre and have him criticize all of my favourite pieces of art. Marc shrugged easily, draping his arm around my shoulders. We stopped outside the door and I pulled out my map trying to find a cute little bistro to eat at. “What about Le Bouclard?” I pointed at the map. He shrugged lightly causing me to sigh gently, heading towards the bistro.

Once we were seated, choosing to eat on the beautiful patio, Marc studied the menu closely before turning to the server and chatting softly in French, handing him the menu as he disappeared.

“What did you order?” I asked softly, letting him take my hand and play with the simple band on my pinky finger.

“Some clams, lobster, and some baguette and wine.” He grinned slightly, bringing my hand to his lips, kissing the ring. I blushed softly as he held my hand against his, studying the size difference. My hand was almost half his. “Your hands are so small, babe...” He smiled linking our fingers as he set our hands back on the table. The server came with our wine, pouring it first for Marc to taste before filling my glass. I took a small sip of my wine. It was delicious, like biting into fresh cherries. The baguettes arrived next, I took a small slice off of the end of mine as I felt something hit the top of my head. I glanced up at Marc as he had a mischievous glint in his eyes. “En garde, Cherie.” He grinned holding up his baguette like a sword.

“Oh no... No way, Marc.” I squealed as he hit my shoulder gently. “Marc!” I squealed holding my baguette up to protect myself from him. “Cut it out, we're in public!”

“C'mon, Abby! Fight with me!” He laughed as I moved to poke him in the chest, as he blocked it easily. We laughed as I squealed watching a piece of bread fly off of Marc's baguette. Marc lept from his chair, racing lowly around table and began to tickle me mercilessly.

“MARC!” I squealed through hysterics. “Marc, I can't breathe! Oh god! Marc... stop!” My smile remained as he stopped tickling me, instead biting softly onto my bared neck. “Marc...” I sighed softly into him as his moved his mouth closer to mine. He jumped away from me as an angry French voice yelled from behind us. Marc mumbled back at him in French as he threw some bills onto the table and gently pulled me out of the restaurant.

“Oops...” He whispered into my ear as we meandered down the street towards our hotel.

“I can't believe you got us kicked out of a restaurant!” I yelled, hitting him playfully in the chest.

“Abby... I play a game for a living... What did you expect?” He grinned kissing my forehead gently. I laughed easily against him as we walked through the front door.

I groaned softly as I trumped up the grassy hill, the heal of my boot catching in the ground again. Exasperated I pulled my heal out of the ground, taking a chunk of earth with me as I followed him up the hill.

“It would've been nice to know that we were hiking for two miles, Marc!” I called up to him as he chuckled, running back to get me.

“Abby, it's Vimy Ridge. Of course we have to hike.” He shook his head at me warily.

“Marc...” I sighed softly towards him, holding onto his arm tightly as we made our way up the hill. “I don't know what Vimy Ridge is. I've never heard of Vimy Ridge. Lets just go to Nice. Sit on the beach... Drink some wine... Get some sun.”

“We won't be here long, Abby...” He sighed “This is the only time I'll get to stand in Canada while I'm in France.”

“What?” I laughed at him as we crested the hill to find a large white stone structure. “Marc... Is this another war monument?”

“Yes...” He said slowly walking me towards the large structure. “But, Abby... Before you go off about war and how it's wrong. This is Canadian soil. The French government gave it to Canada for our contributions in World War I.” I sighed as I allowed him to lead towards the monument. I sat easily onto a bench near the beginning of the monument and watched as he wandered around slowly, running his hands against the smooth stone. I smiled softly to myself as he knelt onto his knee his graceful fingers brushing names etched into the stone. After several minutes he made his way back over to me, I took his face gently between his hands and pulled his face towards mine, kissing him in the most sweetest way possible. “What was that for?” He whispered as I shrugged lightly.

“I love you, Marc-Andre Fleury.” I smiled as he bent down to kiss me lightly.

“Not nearly as much as I love you, Aberleigh Michaels.” I opened my mouth to protest as we heard a throat clear behind us.

“I'm sorry...” The man shrugged easily as we both turned our attention towards the family. “My family and I are huge fans Mr. Fleury, would you mind if we got some pictures of you?” Marc turned back and glanced at me questioningly. I laughed and shook my head no, before standing slowly.

“Why don't you all sit down, and I'll take the picture.” I smiled brightly at the man as his eyes grew widely. His wife nodded, handing me the camera, pushing him and their two children to the wall to sit around Marc. “Everyone say... Go Pens!” They laughed as I snapped a couple of pictures.

“Do you think we could get some pictures of the two of you with the kids?” His wife asked softly, causing me to stare at her blankly. They wanted my picture?

“No problem...” Marc grinned patting the seat next to him. “C'mon Abby... Sit next to me.” I shook my head as I eased myself back onto the stone to have Marc's arm slide over my shoulders. I turned to look at him scrunching my nose as he rubbed his own against mine. The kids laughed easily, as the youngest made her way onto my lap. I recovered from absolute shock taking over as I moved my own hand to play with the waist band at the back of Marc's pants; earning a soft groan from him, making my own smile grow.

“Thank you so much, Mr Fleury. It's such an honor to meet you!” The dad gushed shaking Marc's hand.

“Please, call me Marc.” He smiled before turning to the man's wife. “Don't forget to send Abby those pictures. I think they'll turn out well.” She waved my business card in goodbye as we began our trek down Vimy hill.

“Call if you're ever in Pittsburgh!” I called up to them waving. Marc chuckled lightly before sweeping my feet out from under me.

“The shoes were tough goings as we went up. Down's harder and I don't want you to break your pretty ankle.” He grinned as I stuck out my tongue at him.

“Well if you didn't insist on climbing two mile hills you wouldn't have to worry about me breaking my ankle.” I laughed as I heard him muttered 'smart ass' under his breath as we headed back to the rental car.

The rest of our week flew by and I suddenly found myself sitting in the bedroom were Vero and I had our first civil conversations.

“Vero, are you happy?” I sighed gently as she flitted around the room nervously. She stopped abruptly and turned to me, her cheek swollen and bright red.

“Of course I'm happy. Abby, I can't even explain how Pierre makes me feel. He treats me like a princess...” She smiled honestly, almost taking my mind off of her cheek. Almost...

“What happened to your cheek?” I asked easily, nonchalantly.

“Ooh... I... uhh... I walked into the door, clumsy me.” She shrugged slightly as I studied her closer. I hadn't known Vero long, but in the time I had known her, she'd never been clumsy.

“As long as you're happy, Vero... I'm happy for you.” I rose gently from the bed and embraced the beautiful woman in front of me. “Now... I think we have a dinner to go to... I know Marc is anxious to see you again.” I smiled easily as we headed down the stairs together.

“Where's Cooper?” Vero asked easily as she glanced around the living room for my brown fluff ball.

“He's getting a bit big for plane travel, plus he hates the car... It's easier to leave him at home with Braeden. I think my brother enjoys the company. He's a little bit lonely now and then...” Vero nodded thoughtfully as Marc came up and wrapped me into a tight embrace.

“Do we have to go to this dinner?” He sighed into my ear, gently biting the top of it. “I've booked a hotel room in Montreal... We could just....”

“Or we could go to dinner, like we've been invited to.” I laughed pulling away from him. “Don't be rude, Marc-Andre, your parents are here.”

“Yah.. They're why I got the hotel room...” He muttered under his breath causing both Vero and I to laugh gently. Just as Vero's father came in and swept us all out the door.

The dinner was beautiful, but after the rich food of Paris I was simply picking at the meal, piece of bread there, carrot, celery... small bites of meat... As little as I could get away with. What I couldn't... I'd run off tomorrow morning. I glanced up to find Vero watching me closely before turning away once caught. Who else did Marc have spying on me? I sighed gently as Marc squeezed my hand from under the table. I turned towards him and smiled sincerely as Vero's dad got up to start the speeches.

Goalies Who Suck At Fighting

I woke up suddenly, looking around the room before seeing Abby heading into the bathroom. A grin spread across my face as I remembered the events of last night. Deciding that it was never too late for round two; I sat up, stretching as I threw my legs over the edge of the bed.
I watched Abby stop walking as her legs buckled underneath her. Clutching her head, I watched in slow motion as she began to fall forward; “Abby? Baby, are you ok?” I hoped out of bed and ran at her - reaching the bathroom just as her head bashed into the side of the tub. “Abby!” I screamed, flipped her onto her back and pulling her into my arms.
She was breathing, but she wasn’t responding to me; and the bruise that was already darkening the side of her head was screaming concussion at me.

I stood up, cradling her, as I made my way back to our bed. I sat down gingerly and felt for a pulse; my entire body relaxing with relief as she opened her eyes. “Marc? Wha- what’s going on? I need to get ready for work why are we-” I cut her off as she looked around the room, panic setting in on her face.

“Babe it’s ok, just breath alright.” I shifted her in my lap until she was sitting upright; her head resting on my shoulder. “You just fainted, but you hit your head on the tub so you just need to relax ok? I’m gonna throw some pants on, and then we’ll head to outpatients.”

“What? Why? I don’t need to go to the hospital Marc… I’m fine!”

“Abby… not only did you just faint, but you smashed your head on porcelain… you need to go to a hospital.” I sighed, wondering if this was just a side effect of the concussion I assumed she had.

“No.” She said it harshly, pushing me away and dusting herself off before heading back to the bathroom on wobbling legs; slamming the door behind her. I always knew that Abby was a strong person; she hated feeling like she needed to rely on anyone, but, this was a little much.

I sat on the bed and stared at the bathroom door for a bit, before finally getting dressed and grabbing a few things for practice. I didn’t want to leave, I was positive that Abby needed my help but; at the same time I didn’t want her to be mad at me. “Abby… I got to get going for practice… are you sure you’re ok?”

“I’m fine.” Came the animated response for the closed door.

“Alright… I’ll see you after then…” I sighed as I headed down the stairs, pulling out my cell phone as I hit the front door. “Hey Braeden, could you do something for me? I need you to check on Abby later on… she fainted and she won’t go to the hospital… she hit her head pretty hard too…”

“Oh, yah sure! No problem… good luck at your game tonight.”

“Thanks man.” I smiled as I hung up; it was nice having someone I could trust Abby with.

“So… you’re sure that you’re ok?” I asked softly as Abby sat down beside me.

She started to chuckle slightly as she leaned her head against my shoulder. “Yes Marc, I’m fine. Now please drop it… I feel like a total dork.”

I sighed and kissed the top of her head. The bruise had gotten darker already, and was a lot bigger than I had anticipated; I was worried about her, but she wanted nothing to do with my concerns. I opened my mouth to say something else when the phone rang.

I crossed the room and picked it off the receiver; as I held it to my ear, my eyes found Abby again - I studied her closely as I started to talk. “Hello?”

“Bonjour Marc!”

I let out a sigh as Vero’s voice sang through the phone. I wished I could just blab to her in French, - so I could give her a few choice words that I didn’t think Abby would approve of - but I didn’t want Abby to know who I was talking to. “What’s up?” I asked finally, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible.

“Well, I just wanted to call and apologise if I caused any rift between you guys. But also, I have great news!”

“Oh, and what’s that?” I didn’t bother saying anything about her apology. I knew now that Vero didn’t mean any harm, but at the same time, I didn’t want her to think she could move back in here.

“Pierre asked me to marry him… I said yes! You’ll come won’t you? You and Abby?” I stood in complete awe for a minute, trying to figure out what my next course of action should be.

I let out a death-rattle as I clutched the phone against my ear; my eyes squinting in concentration. “Pierre like… I like to hit women, Pierre?”

“Marc! You don’t understand- you weren’t- it’s ok. He apologised, we worked it out. He said he’ll never do it again and… well I believe him.”

“You do realize that most proposals come without a punch in the face, right?”

“UGH!” I heard her scream her frustration out at me as I continued to stare at Abby. “Marc! Why can’t you just be happy for me-”

“Because you’re making a huge mistake!” I finally lost my cool, snapping back at Vero too loudly; loudly enough to draw Abby’s attention. She turned around to look at me over the couch.

Vero sighed softly. “Just tell me that you’ll both come… it would mean a lot to me if you did.”

I shrugged my shoulders. This was a huge mistake but, Vero’s life didn’t involve me anymore; she had to be free to make her own choices. “Umm… sure, I’ll ask her and let you know.”

I could hear the smile in Vero’s voice as we hung up. I headed over to Abby and plopped down beside her; leaning back and inhaling deeply before I started to explain what had just happened.

“No! She can’t!” Abby moaned from beside me.

“Well, I told her I’d ask you and let her know…”

“We can’t go Marc! He abuses her!”

I nodded, not trying to deny her comment at all. “There’s nothing we can do about it Abby…” She sighed next to me and shook her head. She knew I was right; but that didn’t make either of us like the idea any more.

Four goals. Four goals!? How the hell did I let the Kings score four goals… the Kings!
The Kings aren’t even a hockey team; they’re a fabrication made to make LA feel like they actually have a reason to watch hockey… fuck!

Luckily for me, Sid and Geno were having an ‘on’ night, so we were still winning by three goals; but never-the-less; I still felt like an ass.

“Flower man, everything ok?” I shook my head as Max sat down beside me. “You and Abby didn’t work things out yet?”

“No… she’s over the ring but, I’m just worried about her… and it feels like she’s hiding something from me. She passed out this morning and banged her head off the tub, and she wouldn’t let me take her to the doctor… she wouldn’t even let me touch her.”

“Shit… what are you gonna do?” I shrugged, letting my shoulders droop as I started at the floor. What indeed? “You don’t think she’s sick or something, do you?”

My head snapped up and I stared at Max, fear on my face. “What? Why? You think she is?”

“Woah, calm down… I don’t know anything, other than… healthy people don’t normally pass out…” His face crinkled up as he concentrated, trying - like me - to figure out what could possibly be going on.

“I guess I’ll just try to talk to her again tonight… see how that goes.”

He nodded, getting up off the bench. “Well, if she kicks you out… you can always sleep on my couch.”

I grimaced as I watched him leave. “Thanks… I think…”

I was in a bad mood when I got home, then again, what‘s to be expected after a shity loss? I was looking forward to just relaxing with Abby, but she had other plans. “Why did you call my brother? You think I can’t look after myself?” I had only taken a step into the house when Abby came stalking up to me; her face flushed with anger - extenuating the bruise in a grotesque fashion.

“I was just worried-”

“Oh I bet you were! Well… I’m a grown adult thank you very much!” She spat before turning on her heel and storming off.
I decided to let her go, dumping my gear and heading upstairs. It didn’t make sense for her to be so mad at me anyway. I was the one that watched her pass-out, that just found out his ex was about to marry a douche, AND the one who had just lost a hockey game because he was too worried about everything else. If anyone should be mad… it’s me!

“Marc…” I heard Abby sigh for the doorway, causing me to spin around. “I’m sorry about that… and I‘m sorry about your game-”

“You should be!” I yelled, not really sure why I was yelling… or what I was talking about. “It’s your fault I sucked!”

“Umm… my fault? How is it my fault?” She folded her arms over her chest and locked her leg into place - the way girls always do when they’re about to take you down with their power of talking-too-fast.

“Because! I couldn’t focus… I thought about you all night and we lost… if you just went to the doctor’s… then none of this would have happened. I hope you’re happy!” I was being ridiculous; bordering on freaking out all together and bursting into laughter. “Besides… why do you even care what happens to the Pens anymore… you quit! You don’t want me to win!”

“What are you talking about?!” I had no idea; and worst of all, she knew I had no idea.

“Oh… you know…” Hey… it always worked for mom!

She started to laugh as she shook her head at me. “You’ve been spending too much time with Max I think…”

Speaking of Max… “Are you sick?”

“What?”

“What’s wrong with you?” She took a step back; the pain in her eyes couldn’t be more obvious it I slapped her. She dropped her arms and hugged them protectively around her stomach.

“What are you talking about?” She said it so quietly, I had to strain to hear her.

I shrugged, automatically feeling sorry for what I’d just said. “I don’t mean… I think there’s something wrong with you… I just mean…” I sighed, taking a few steps towards her. “You’d tell me if something was wrong right?”

“Do I look like there’s something wrong with me?” I shook my head as she sighed audibly; tears starting to fall down her face.

I exhaled loudly and crossed the bedroom floor; wrapping her in my arms. “I’m sorry Abby… I’m an idiot… I just… I had a bad day. I didn’t mean anything about it… just forget it ok?” She nodded against my chest as I shook my head. Yes, I hate loosing but there's no reason for me to tak it out on Abby. "This is why I became a goalie... I suck at confrontation..." She chuckled slightly into me and I allowed a small smile to gently touch my face; why didn't I think of this sooner? If I'm 'stressed out and pissing Abby off because of hockey... then there's no reason why we couldn't just go to France... now...

Wild Kinky Make-up Sex

Aberleigh-

“Well, we should take these things upstairs...” I tried to hide a yawn with my hand before leaning over and kissing Marc gently. I grabbed all the bags at the end of the couch before heading upstairs, Vero directly behind me.

“I still think you should were the skirt to dinner tonight. He won't be able to take his hands off of you. I promise.” She grinned as I laughed going our separate ways into the different rooms. I shook my head gently as I pulled the clothes out of the bags. I lovingly hung the clothes in the closet before gently putting the new lingerie into the top draw of the closet organizer. The drawer closed a little harder than I wanted it to, and the little black box fell to the ground again. I slowly picked it up, feeling it's slight weight in my hand. I gently lifted the lid, staring at the gorgeous ring nestled in the pillowy cushions. It's not bad luck to try on your own ring is it? I smiled gingerly pulling the delicate item out of its home. I studied the ring up close. Hey... there's an inscription... I laughed gently as I tried to read it. Figures... Marc would write it in French.

“Max!” Max will translate for me. “Could you come here for a second please?” I smiled gently, not taking my eyes off of the ring.

“What's up, Abbs?” Max grinned from the door, tearing my attention away from the beautiful circle in front of me.

“Can you translate this inscription for me?” I held the ring out to him as he laughed loudly.

“Jordan wasn't wrong!” He took the ring gently from my fingers, turning it in the light. Jordan wasn't wrong about what? “Vous avez toujours été mon amour; avec cet anneau vous êtes ma vie.” I raised a brow at him causing him to chuckle gently. “It means... You were always my love; with this ring you are my life.” I furrowed my brow as I mumbled the words over to myself.

“Max... I don't think that was for me...” I whispered, lowering myself to the bed. He was going to purpose to Vero. “Oh my god...” I whispered as the world I knew crumbled around me. “He... Oh my god...” Max moved around me, I'm sure putting the ring away as I sat and stared at the door.

“Aberleigh, I'm sure it means nothing. I mean, he's with you now right?” He shrugged. I calmly held my hand out for the box that I could see him throw between his hands. He sighed loudly placing the box in my outstretched hands. I rose easily from the bed and headed slowly down stairs to where Marc was still sitting on the couch, his head leaned back against the couch. I quickly moved to the front of the couch, smiling at me. I watched as the smile dropped as I crossed my arms over my chest, the ring box clutched in my right hand.

“What's wrong, Abby?” He asked cautiously leaning forward on the couch.

“You didn't think I'd find out, Marc?” I hissed.

“Find out what? Abby what are you talking about?” He slowly stood stepping closer to me. I took a step back before throwing the ring at him.

“Why don't you go and ask her right now, Marc... She's here for you!” I yelled before running back upstairs and into our room. I searched for something I could take my aggression out on. Anything... A wall... a pillow... I found it in Marc as he turned me around in his arms. “Let... me... go.” I seethed, pushing against his chest fruitlessly.

“Abby, stop... What are you talking about?” He pleaded, not letting me go.

“You're ring Marc. The ring that fell out of your closet, the ring with the inscription, the ring that you never told me about.” I stepped quickly back from him as he let go of me, his face draining of colour.

“Abby...” He started as I looked up to find Vero standing in the doorway.

“Sorry, guys... I was...” She cleared her throat. “I just came to say... I'm heading home.” I nodded briskly. Not mad at her at all. But she needed to go now.

“What? Vero, you can't go home. Not after what he did.” Marc turned to her, his back completely towards me. That's when I snapped.

“Pierre's the only reason you want her to stay, Marc?” I spat, pushing past them as I headed back downstairs, all three people hot on my heels. “You sure it's not so that you can fuck her again?” I spun around to face him; he looked like I just slapped him. He deserved it. Inconsiderate ass. “One girlfriend not enough? Or are you going to propose to her, and keep me around for kicks?”

“YOU INVITED HER HERE!!!!” He roared gesturing towards Vero. “Tell her Max!” My attention spun to Max as he sat grinning on the couch.

“Not my fight, Flowers... Not my fight.” My attention quickly fell back to Marc as Vero stepped off to the side, trying to stay hidden.

“What was I supposed to do, Marc? She needed help! She wants to go... Let her.” I turned my glare swiftly to Vero. “Go! No one's keeping you here! Better yet... Take him with you.”

“Take him with you? Are you running already, Abby?” Marc sneered at me, I easily shifted my anger back onto him. “That's what you do right? You run. You always run. As soon as something gets a little bit hard... 'Oh there goes Abby, running again.' Yah your parents must be so proud.” All the breath left my body as if I was sucker punched. How dare he bring my parents into this! I felt something cold and wet press against my leg as I looked down to find Cooper glancing up at me, Marc's blocker shredded, completely destroyed, at my feet.

“Hey, Flower!” Max laughed from the laundry room door, grinning like a fool. “Now I realize why you can never stop the puck. You dog's eating your shit!”

“Max, I don't think this is the time or the place...” Vero whispered towards him. My eyes moved from Cooper and the blocker back up to Marc. His face was so red; I thought it was going to explode.

“Cooper...” He seethed as the dog shifted closer to the back of my legs, knowing full well he was in deep shit. “You stupid little-”

“Don’t you dare yell at my dog, Marc-Andre.” I cut him off easily, glancing back at Vero and Max. “You know what... Why don't you stay Vero? I'm done here.”

“Where are you going to go Abby? You're dad kicked you out remember?” Marc smirked victoriously as I scooped Cooper into my arms and moved towards the door.

“Well I'm sure I'll be welcomed back with open arms now.” I grinned over my shoulder, as I slipped on my coat and boots and slammed the door behind me.

I got three blocks away from Braeden's house before I had to pull over to the side of the road and let my tears overtake me. What have I done?

“Braeden!” I called from my office two days later, his head popping into the room quickly.

“What's up Abby?” He slowly stepped into the room. A little wary as to what my mood would be today. I could have told him, melancholy... It was always melancholy now.

“Do I always run from my problems?” I picked nervously at my fingernails as he sat across from me at my desk.

“Only the ones that scare the ever living daylights out of you.” He sighed looking up at me. “Abby… You love Marc. And I think he loves you too. Just go and apologize. Have wild kinky make up sex and be happy again. Mopey Abby isn’t a very good boss.” I turned and glared at him lightly. “Look, Abby. I know he’s just as miserable as you are.”

“Oh yah? How? How do you know that Braeden? How do you know that Vero didn’t stay?” He grinned up at me like a cat who just caught his mouse.

“I have my sources.” I smiled softly and shook my head.

“You've been talking to Max. I knew introducing you two was a bad idea...” We chuckled together as I slowly pulled myself out of my chair, trying to avoid the dizziness I'd been feeling all day. “Alright... Wish me luck...”

“You don't need luck, Abby. Go get him...” I smiled, kissing him gently on the cheek before rushing out the door.

I sat outside the house in my still running car, nervously running through what I would say to him. Should I apologize first? He hurt me too. I sighed deeply slowly before exiting my car. I took a deep breath before knocking on the door gently. I picked at my fingernails nervously as I waited for him to answer the door.

“What do you want now, Max?” His voice carried through the door as he began to pull it open. “I'm not play- Abby?” I smiled shyly waving.

“Hi, Marc.” I breathed almost silently. He stepped aside to let me into the house.

“You knocked? Abby, this is still your house.” He sighed rubbing the tops of my arms. I took a minute to take in his appearance. His skin was sallowed, and his eyes red.

“Even after everything?” I glanced down at my hands.

“Well... I wasn't happy about how it played out, but Abby. You're it. I told you before, Vero isn't part of my life anymore. That's why I was so shocked when she showed up.”

“I was worried about her...” I mumbled turning my glance away from him. “Why didn't you get rid of the ring?”

“I... I don't know. I guess... Well, originally, it was hope. She'd come back... We'd be happy...” I scoffed as tears slowly started to build behind my eyes. I was right... He wasn't truly over her. “Then...” He smiled, turning my face gently towards his. “Then I completely forgot about it... I mean, I was so...” He gestured around us for the words that wouldn't come. Finally he sighed loudly, causing me to laugh gently at him. “I just love you, Abby. Too much to loose you again.”

“Well, I came back...” I shrugged gently. Wrapping myself against him. “I can't promise I won't run again, Marc. But I'm trying...” He nodded as his fingers wrapped themselves in my hair. “I missed you.” I whispered against him. Both of us jumping as my cellphone rang. I pulled it out of my coat, glancing at the Caller ID seeing 'Vero' across the LCD screen.

“Ignore it.” Marc demanded taking the phone roughly from my hands and tossed it onto the couch, before lifting me easily from the ground, causing me to squeal in delight and wrap my legs around his waist crashing my lips onto his. He groaned deeply as he walked us into a wall, pushing me closer to him. I tugged gently on the curls that wound themselves at the base of his skull, as he moved us again, this time, causing him to flop backwards onto the couch. I grinned wickedly as I broke our kiss to quickly pull his shirt over his head, followed by my own. I caught his hands as they moved towards my bra and pulled them over his head.

“Ever play around the world, Marc?” My grin grew as his eyes widened in anticipation. “Here's the rules... You can look... You can't touch. Easy right?”

“I hope so...” He croaked huskily, causing me to chuckle lowly. I started simply, running my hands down his arms as I pulled us once again into a deep kiss. I allowed him to kiss me deeply before moving down onto his neck and then his now bared chest. I laughed as I felt his arms come down into my hair, making my lift off of him and shake my head, scolding him.

“No touching, Marc.” He laughed putting his hands back behind his head as I continued. Moving then onto his hard nipples, not spending large amounts of time on the hard buds as I continued my way south, I watched him as I undid his belt and jeans, he lifted his hips as I shimmied the jeans and his boxers down off of his, I grinned as I saw how hard he was for me. I shivered in anticipation as I ran my tongue up the length of his shaft.

“Shit...” He whispered, his arms coming around me and pulled me up towards his chest, pulling a blanket over us. “The door..” He groaned, causing me to chuckle as Max threw the door open.

“Flower. Practice... let's go.” He motioned towards the door. “I'm not letting you mope around... Hi Abbs... OH! Abbs!” His grin widened as he began to back out the door. “Umm... Flower... I'll tell couch you were tied up...” He giggled as he headed towards the door. “Have fun, Flowers.” I waved slightly as he closed the door behind him.

“Well... That was...” Marc sighed as I laughed easily.

“Awkward?” He nodded as he flipped the blanket off of us. “Where were we?” I grinned up at him, squeaking as he ran his hands down my arms.

“Can we skip the foreplay, Abby. As much I was enjoying that...” I laughed gently.

“Impatient much?” He nodded as I shed my own jeans and underwear and lifted myself over him, guiding him gently into me as we both sighed. He grabbed my hips tightly as I rocked against him, both of us finding an quick rhythm. I grabbed onto the back of his legs as he pulled me down onto him harder. “Oh god... Marc...” I breathed as he sped up, making me rock harder against him to keep pace.

Dripping in sweat I could feel my own end build as I pushed against him roughly.

“Abby...” His voice quivered as I felt him empty himself into my as my own orgasm over took me. I slowly lowered my chest to his, letting my breath come back to normal. “Abby...” He whispered, pushing my hair out of my eyes. “Baby... we should go to bed...” I shook my head against him, my eyes fluttering shut.

“I'm not moving...” He chuckled as he pushed us up into a sitting position.

“C'mon, Abby...” He sighed tiredly. “Bed time...” I groaned getting up off the couch. Squealing as Marc swept me up in his arms and up the stairs into our soft bed.

I blinked my eyes open to the brightness, sighing as I rolled out of bed. I stumbled towards the bathroom, shaking my head out of its funk. I smiled as I glanced back at Marc, curled up fast asleep under the covers. I turned away from him, heading back towards the bathroom.

I grabbed at my head as it spun wildly, causing my legs to buckle as I found the ground crashing up to meet me. The last thing I heard was Marc's soft, smooth voice calling my name as my world disappeared into blackness.
